Does the golf shot tracker need extra hardware?
No. Dink'It uses your phone's GPS, so there's no sensor, tag, or separate device to buy or charge.
Does it track my position continuously during a round?
No. Shot tracking is tap-to-track: you log a shot's position when you play it, rather than Dink'It recording your location continuously in the background. That keeps battery use and privacy exposure to a minimum.
Is shot tracking free?
Yes. GPS shot tracking, the shot log map, and per-round stats are all part of Dink'It's free tier. Strokes Gained and shot dispersion analysis built from your tracked shots are part of Premium.
What do I get once I've tracked a few rounds?
Lifetime stats, per-round breakdowns, and (on Premium) Strokes Gained and shot dispersion analysis, which need tracked shot data to work. The more rounds you track, the more those numbers mean.
